1   Link   Canadian Cohousing Network
The Canadian Cohousing Network (CCN) was formed in 1992 in British Columbia, Canada. It is a registered non-profit organization that promotes the creation of cohousing communities as a model for sustainable development by raising public awareness about cohousing and by bringing people together to form communities. The most valuable function of the CCN is making connections with people who are interested in living in a cohousing community. CCN links individuals and cohousing groups together to share resources and make the process of creating a community easier and more economical.

The Canadian Worker Co-operative Federation is a national, bilingual grassroots membership organization of and for worker cooperatives, related types of co-operatives (multi-stakeholder co-ops and worker-shareholder co-ops), and organizations that support the growth and development of worker cooperatives. CWCF was incorporated in 1992.

The Cooperative Housing Federation of Canada (CHF Canada) is the nation-wide umbrella organization for co-op housing and Canada’s link with co-op housing around the world. As spelled out in our mission, mandate and values, we exist to unite, represent and serve the co-op housing community across Canada. The co-operative housing movement consists of housing co-operatives, whether occupied or under development, the people who live and work in them, and the organizations and individuals that support and serve them.

The Northern Alberta Cooperative Housing Association (NACHA) is a federation of housing cooperatives in Northern Alberta that provides a variety of services to our membership and to the public who are interested in finding out more about the benefits of cooperative housing.

Prairie Sky Cohousing Cooperative is an 18-unit residential development in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. More than just a construction project, Prairie Sky is a cooperative and caring neighbourhood based on principles of community, respect, and sustainability.

6   Link   Southern Alberta Cooperative Housing Association
The Southern Alberta Cooperative Housing Association (SACHA) serves as the regional federation of housing co-operatives and is financed by membership dues and fees for services. Membership is open to housing co-operatives located in southern Alberta (Red Deer and South), as well as other individuals and organizations which support SACHA's aims and accept the responsibilities of membership. SACHA has a sector membership agreement with the Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada which requires membership in both organizations. Members enjoy benefits and services provided by both. SACHA is located in Calgary, Alberta. There are 22 housing co-operatives in southern Alberta, representing 1,478 households. The majority of the co-ops are in Calgary, two in Rocky Mountain House, one in Red Deer, Okotoks, High River and Lethbridge. Nineteen of these housing co-operatives are members of SACHA.

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) is Canada’s national housing agency. Established as a government-owned corporation in 1946 to address Canada’s post-war housing shortage, the agency has grown into a major national institution. CMHC is Canada’s premier provider of mortgage loan insurance, mortgage-backed securities, housing policy and programs, and housing research. 8   Link   Canada Green Building Council - Alberta Chapter
The CaGBC Alberta Chapter seeks to lead the transformation of the built environment so as to create buildings and communities that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live, work and play. Engage and enable industry and government, and support related organizations to accelerate sustainable building and development in Alberta.
